This experience of understanding both the horizontal land development and construction challenges along with the vertical building issues allows it to manage the risks associated with development in a careful and cost-effective manner.
MDH employs a prudent speculative development program in order to add new Class A facilities to its portfolio at a substantial discount to the price it would pay by acquiring such buildings if they were built and leased by another firm. Recent developments include a three-building 800,000 square foot project west of Orlando in Polk County, Florida and a two-building project at the port in Savannah, which includes a 650,000 square foot cross dock-building and a hundred-door transload facility build-to-suit for a logistics company.
