Mike oversees key aspects of the company’s internal operations, promoting the MDH team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness, as well as ensuring the quality and consistency of data delivered to investors and other stakeholders. 

Mike was the Chief Financial Officer of MDH for 6 years, from 2014 to 2020.  In June 2020, he decided to step down from that position and transitioned to his current role. 

Prior to joining MDH, Mike spent 6 years (2008-2014) at Jamestown, an institutional real estate investment and management company with over $6 billion of assets under management. As a Vice President of Acquisitions at Jamestown, Mike directed the acquisition of $283 million of office, retail, and hotel properties, then was promoted to Director of Asset Management and took on responsibility for various projects in New York, DC, and Boston with an aggregate value of more than $700 million. 

Prior to Jamestown, Mike was Director of Acquisitions and Development at Extended Stay Hotels, a Blackstone portfolio company, from 2005 to 2007. Mike first worked with Jeff and Michael at M.D. Hodges from 2002 to 2005, where he acted as Development and Investment Manager. 

Mike earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Rice University and an MBA from Emory University.  He lives in Dunwoody, Georgia with his wife and two kids.
