Senior Managing Director, Acquisitions
Joe was named Director of Acquisitions in January 2019 and will leverage his market knowledge and relationships to identify strategic acquisitions for the firm.
Joe joined MDH Partners as an acquisitions associate in July 2014 to focus on sourcing, analyzing and underwriting new acquisition opportunities. During this period, Joe was instrumental in the acquisition of 6M SF totaling $205 million at which point Joe transitioned to Head of Asset Management in 2015. Over the next 3 years, the firm’s portfolio grew to 14 million SF across 106 buildings in 15 cities. During this time, Joe managed the company’s operations and leasing, which included directing 8 third-party property management teams and 18 leasing teams in 15 cities across the southeast. Tasked with implementing MDH’s business plan, Joe focused on leasing vacancy, driving rents, and overseeing strategic capital investments to add value to the portfolio. Under Joe’s leadership, MDH created an institutional-grade operating and leasing platform that grew the venture’s occupancy from 85% to 95%, and during the same period increased in-place rents by roughly 14%.
Prior to MDH, Joe worked with the Office and Industrial Investment Sales team at Colliers International in Atlanta for three years in which his team consulted with owners on the repositioning of assets coming out of the recession and ultimately represented these owners in the disposition assets across the southeast totaling $250 million. Joe began his career as a Research Analyst with GVA Advantis.
Joe earned his BA in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from Emory University with a concentration in finance and real estate.
