Joe DeHaven
President, Acquisitions
Joe oversees MDH’s acquisition efforts across the United States. As a member of the Investment Committee he is responsible for formation of investment strategy, review of investment opportunities, and transaction execution. He leverages 17 years’ experience, extensive market knowledge, and relationships to strategically grow the firm’s portfolio.
Joe joined MDH Partners as an acquisitions associate in July 2014 to assist in the underwriting and execution of new acquisitions. In 2015, Joe was promoted to Head of Asset Management to oversee the firm’s portfolio of 14 million square feet across 106 buildings in 15 cities. At the beginning of 2019 and concurrent with MDH raising its first fund, Joe transitioned to lead the sourcing and execution of acquisitions in the southeastern United States. Since 2019, he has led the investment in 14 million square feet with a gross value in excess of $1.1 billion.
Prior to MDH, Joe worked with the Office and Industrial Investment Sales team at Colliers International, and he began his career as a Research Analyst with GVA Advantis.
Joe earned his BA in Economics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from Emory University with a concentration in finance and real estate. Joe is an active member of NAIOP’s Georgia chapter and NAIOP National Forums. In his spare time, Joe and his wife Maryanna enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors. They have a young son and daughter, George and Lilly, and a disobedient springer spaniel named Charlie.
