Shaun Powell

Shaun joined MDH as Treasurer in January 2024 with over a decade of treasury experience, primarily in commercial real estate.

Before joining MDH, he worked with Cousins Properties as a Treasury Manager – leading cash management, cash forecasting, and debt compliance reporting. Afterward, he had a brief stint in treasury in the packaging industry and quickly realized commercial real estate was his sweet spot.

Shaun is originally from Florida and earned his BS from Florida A&M University and an MBA from Ashford University with a concentration in finance. He is a member of the Association of Financial Professionals. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, College Park Alumni Chapter, where he held both the positions of President and Treasurer.

Shaun and his wife have two young sons – which keep them very busy. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, coaching sports for his boys, and golfing.
